This Thursday
our host father had an unveiling of his artwork which he had done for “Rainbow
project”.
What is
Rainbow project?
“The Rainbow Project works to improve the
physical, mental & emotional health of gay, lesbian, bisexual and/or
transgender people and their families in Northern Ireland.”

If I
haven’t mentioned earlier both of our host fathers are artist (designers) and I
was thrilled when we were asked to come to and see our other fathers work. On Thursday 7pm I and Mira walked to this kind of event where there was nice hardworking people, doing something for the community. And there was also free food. Our host fathers had a habit of joking around, they told us earlier about that there would be free cake (maybe they though they could lure us there with that information.) and that when we would come there we would meet all the gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender in Derry. The piece our host father had done was amazing! It was really beautifully colored and was very informative about GLBT-hisory. I would have wanted to compliment it so much more but I was kind of speechless. There was also free badges and other little things and they were giving postcard versions of the big poster (of course "giving" I mean you take one and then make a suitable donation.) There also was a some important people making speeches about Rainbow projects work et cetera. Honestly it was really interesting and also nice way to learn something new, once again.
