Wednesday was once
again a bit different workday. I modified my book photos almost the whole
day and along with me there was a young man working that day who I
haven’t met before. I heard things about him like “He’s the guy who takes care
of the repairs et cetera” and that “He’s very nice.” Of course my
morning started him looking at me weirdly until I told him that I actually work
in the CCA. So I modified some pictures while he and the man who led the
children workshop were having some kind of bookshelf modifying project. It
wasn’t the bookshelf which was in the library, it was a smaller one somehow
between toilet and the office space.

It was a nice day, I felt like the guys had their own "manly" project and I was glad I got to do my own things, I even was unprompted and went to the store to buy toilet paper, just because I wanted to get some fresh air and simply ‘cause we didn’t have any.
The repair-guy even
offered me some nuts around lunchtime (or maybe snack-time), which were covered
with sugar. I couldn’t believe it first the popcorn and now nuts Now I’m
certain that the biggest culture shock was all the weirdly sweet tasting food.
It’s the little things that matter. My nice day ended up with all three of us talking about who would be coming to work tomorrow. Neither of them was coming, so they joked about me being in charge. Next day I was back to work with the nice woman I had done paperwork for.
